Brand New Footage of Vampyr Gameplay

Vampyr Gameplay, Beautifully Wretched

It’s been a long while since we’ve had a good vampire game. Thankfully Dontnod Entertainment is here to resolve that with their upcoming RPG, Vampyr. The studio is best known for the Life is Strange series, and now they’re bringing us a brooding and bloodthirsty adventure set in London. Even better, we get to see 6 minutes of Vampyr gameplay.

Instead of the (almost) modern problems of teenage girls, the player deals with the struggles of doctor-turned-vampire, Jonathan Reid. Fight between your internal conflict to cause no harm and your newfound thirst. Use weapons, abilities, stealth, and even dialogue to hunt prey in the semi-open world of 1918 London. Watch as the game’s 4 districts react, and possibly be destroyed, in accordance with your actions.

With this new video footage, we get a taste of what the game itself will be like, from UI to EXP. The fluidity of gameplay is a vital component of any enjoyable RPG, and it looks fairly promising so far.

Vampyr will be released on June 5, 2018. It is developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Focus Home Interactive. It is releasing on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
